Welcome

Click on the RSS ICON above to go to a newletter
listing the new patterns and information on Serendipity.
SERENDIPITY CROCHET was originally designed as an easy
way to keep my
collected crochet information organized. It seems to have expanded
substantially.
Also on the site are many tips and techniques,
both from professional crocheters and store owners, and
myself.
I started with two Queen-size Granny Square afghans, and I was
hooked on the craft.
So I call myself Crochetman.
I crochet for fun. After granny squares I progressed to wreathes
and doilies
before settling down to sweaters, slippers, hats, mitts, and baby
jackets.
Most of the sweaters, toques and mittens go to charity and the
preemie hats
and sweaters of course go to the hospitals. Because the sweaters
for the
Hospital Preemie Wards are made to the Nurses requirements,
a separate page of information about the Preemie is included here.
We also make Hats, Mittens, and Scarves for Inner City Infant
Daycare Centers.

Serendipity means good fortune or luck and many of these
patterns
and techniques are based on that idea. Just chain until its wide
enough,
work until its long enough
and then stop. Come to think of it, all patterns are like
that.
Its just that someone else decided how long and how wide.
For the beginner or novice crocheter, I strongly recommend you
pay
a visit to a good internet friend, Sandie, at Crochet Cabana .
Her "How To Crochet" Tutorials are better than anything I've seen
in print.
She also has excellent Tutorials on Broomstick Lace and Afghan
Stitch.
