My Mini-Tutorial will cover two
bind-offs and extending the rows
for the front flap of the sweater.
Back: With 4.00 mm afghan hook,Chain 67[73, 79](85, 89)
and work
66[72, 78](84, 88) stitches for 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows.
Start of Body:
Next Row: Bind off 16[18, 20](21, 22) stitches [not loops]
Work 34[36, 38](42, 44) stitches [not loops] for a total
of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
Leave remaining 16[18, 20](21, 22) stitches unworked.
Version 1 -Front Flap on Left Side:
Front 1:
With front of fabric facing and working through vertical
loops
and top free loop of starting row:
Work 27[29, 32](34, 35) stitches for 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows.
Start of Body:
Next Row:
Bind off 16[18, 20](21, 22) stitches and then work remaining
stitches
for a total of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
Front II: Starting at shoulder seam at last stitch of
Front I,
Bind Off next 12[14, 14](16, 18) stitches.
Work remaining stitches for 6[6, 7](7, 8) rows.
Shape Front Flap:
Next Row: At end of Row 6[6, 7](7, 8), Chain 11[13, 13](15,
17).
Work 37[41, 44](48, 51) stitches for a total
of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows from shoulder.
Start of Body:
Next Row: Work 21[23, 24](27, 29) stitches for
22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
End Version 1 Instructions
Skip to Finishing.
Continue to work even for a total of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows from shoulder.
Start of Body:
Next Row:
Bind Off 16[18, 20](21, 22) stitches then work remaining
stitches
for 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
Front 2:Starting at shoulder seam at last stitch of Front
1,
Bind Off next 12[14, 14](16, 18) stitches.
Work 27[29, 32](34, 35) stitches for a total
of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows from shoulder.
Start of Body:
Next Row:
Work first 11[11, 12](13, 13) stitches
for 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.

Skip to Finishing.

Bind Off 16[18, 20](21, 22) stitches then work remaining
stitches
for 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
Front 2:
Starting at shoulder seam at last stitch of Front 1,
Bind Off next 12[14, 14](16, 18) stitches.
Work 27[29, 32](34, 35) stitches for 6[6, 7](7, 8) rows.
At the end of the second half of the last row,
chain an additional 5[6, 6](7, 8) chain.
Start of Body:
Next Row:
Work first 16[17, 18](20, 21) stitches for a total
of 22[24, 26](28, 29) rows. DO NOT Bind off.
End Version 3 Instructions.

**Instructions for Finishing are the same
for all versions of the sweater**
Finishing:
Sleeve:
Change to 4.00 mm crochet hook.
Working on side of sleeve that has NOT been bound off,
pull loop through last used loop at underarm and bind-off to the
cuff.
Change to 3.00 mm hook.
Row 1: Chain 4, Skip 1 stitch, DC, **(Chain 1,Skip 1 dc),
DC in next stitch. Repeat from ** across. Ch 1, Turn
. Row 2: SC with Picot in first DC, **sc in each of next 2
dc,
SC with Picot in next DC. Repeat from ** across. Fasten off.
Repeat for Second Sleeve
Sew body side seams.
Front and Body Edging:
With Front of fabric facing, join yarn with SC at lower right
corner,
Picot, **sc in next 2 stitches, sc with Picot.
Repeat from ** to lower left corner adding ties as needed.
Add 2 sc in corner stitch after the sc with picot,
change to 4.00 mm hook and Bind Off across the lower edge.
Join with slip stitch to first sc. Fasten Off.
Weave ribbon through cuff.
Weave in all loose ends.
