Chain 12, leave long tail for sewing seam.
Work 11 sc in pattern for 29 rows. Mark any odd numbered row as
right side.
With wrong sides together, use starting tail to overcast sew
through
inside loops of last row with free loops of starting chain Beading
Row-
Chain 3, Turn.( worked from wrong side)
DC in end of each row around. Slip stitch to 3rd chain of starting
chain 3. Chain 1, Turn.
(Shoe part of bootee- worked as rounds from right side. Place
marker at end of round.)
- Round 1 of shoe (right side): Sc in first 11 stitches, chain 8,
work 7 rows of 7 sc (at end of each odd row, sc in next 2 stitches
of DC row, turn, no chain. Sc in each sc of free standing 7 sc) Sc
in last 11 stitches of DC row.
- Round 2: SC in first 11 sts, sc in free loops of toe flap, sc
in ends of rows of toe flap, sc in each st of side of toe flap, sc
in last 11 stitches. Slip stitch to top of first sc of first round.
Place marker;
- Rounds 3-9: Sc in each sc around. Place marker. (By now the
starting point of the rounds has moved to before the center of the
heel.)
- Round 10: place marker at center of heel and center of toe. SC
to 2nd stitch before marker, SC3tog, sc to 2nd stitch before other
marker, sc3tog, sc to end of round.
- Round 11: Sc to 2 sts before marker, sc3tog, sc to second
marker, sc3tog, sc to end of round, slip stitch to next stitch.
Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.
Working from right side of bootee, sew seam with overcast stitch.
Weave in all loose ends.
Weave 16” long 1/8” wide ribbon through dc row and
tie in bow.
Make second bootee to match.
