Circles and Clusters

The "Circles and Clusters" pattern
is my original design
and is copyrighted.

Materials:
1 ball Lily Sugar 'n' Cream "Oasis" (Main Color)
1 ball Lily Sugar 'n' Cream "White) (Contrast Color)
Crochet Hook 4.50 mm (size 7 US/UK)

The rounds alternate Main Color and Contrast Color.
To disguise the join and avoid the extra bulk of weaving in loose ends,
start each successive round in a different spot.

Instructions:
With MC, chain 4, slipstitch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 8 sc in ring. Ss to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc into each sc. Ss to first sc. (16 sc). Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join CC with a ss in any stitch, Ch 3, dc in same st. *2 dc in next st.
repeat from * around. Ss to top of ch-3. fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join MC with a ss in any stitch,
Ch 2 and work a 3-dc cluster in same st, ch 2,
*3-dc cluster in next st, ch 2, repeat from * around.
Join with ss to top of starting cluster. Fasten off.
NOTE: Odd rnds will be CC, Even rnds will be MC. This won't be mentioned again.
Rnd 5: Join yarn with ss in any ch-2 space. Ch 3, work 2 more dc in same space,
dc in top of next cluster. Ch 1. *3 dc in next ch-2 space, dc in top of next cluster, ch 1.
Repeat from * around. Ss to top of chain 3. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: Join yarn in any ch-1 space, ch 3, work starting dc cluster,
ch 3, 3-dc cluster between 2nd and 3rd dc of 4-dc group.
*3-dc cluster in ch 1 space, ch3, 3dc cluster between 2nd and 3rd dc of 4-dc group.
Ch 3. Repeat from * around. Ss to top of ch 3. Fasten off.
Rnd 7: Join yarn in any ch-3 sp, ch 3, work 2 more dc in same space,
*Work 3 dc in next ch-3 space. Repeat from * around.
Join to top of ch 3. Fasten off.
Rnd 8: Join yarn in any DC, chain 3, *Work dc in next dc. Rep from * around.
Join to top of ch 3. Fasten off.
Rnd 9: Join yarn in any stitch, ch 1, work sc in same stitch. (Ch 1, skp 1 st),
*sc in next stitch, ch 1, skp 1 st. Repeat from * around. SS to starting sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 10: Join yarn in any stitch, ch 1, work sc in same stitch, (ch 1, skp 1 st),
*sc in next ch 1 space, ch 1, skip 1 st. Rep from * around, ss to stasrting sc. Fasten off.
