One pair of mittens can be made in about 2 hours.
This pattern was designed especially to meet the needs of toddlers at 2 Innercity Daycare Centers.
Many of the children at these centers come with nothing on their hands at all.
Many of the mittens provided by the Social Services are very thin and do not keep the child's hands warm.
The mittens have no thumbs which helps keep the child's hands warm
and also makes it faster to get the child dressed.
These mittens are actually "overmitts" and go over knitted mittens.
Optional supplies: 2 stitch markers.
