Knitted ribbing looks great on this sweater.
Use 4.50mm doublepointed or circular needles.
Sweater is made in two pieces -front and back- then sewn together at the shoulder.
Sleeves start at the body and are worked to the cuff.

INSTRUCTIONS:Back:
With 5 mm hook, chain (42, 48, 50) [54, 58, 62]
and work (41, 47, 49) [53, 57, 61] sc into chain.
even for (39, 42, 45)[47, 50, 54] rows
or until back measures correct length as above. Fasten off.

Front:
With 5 mm hook, chain (42, 48, 50)[54, 58, 62]
and work (41, 47, 49)[53, 57, 61] sc into chain.
Continue even for (33, 36, 39)[41, 44, 48] rows
or 6 rows less than length without ribbing as given above.

Neck Shaping 1:
List numbers refer to rows

  1. Single crochet in each of the first (14, 15, 16)[18, 19, 20] sts, sc2tog over the next 2 sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  2. Sc2tog, sc in each of the next (13, 14, 15)[17, 18, 19] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  3. SC in each of the first (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts, sc2tog. Chain 1, Turn.
  4. Sc2tog, sc in each of the next 1(11, 12, 13)[15, 16, 17] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  5. Work even on (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  6. Work even on (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts. Fasten off.

Neck Shaping 2:
Skip next (9, 11, 13)[13, 15, 17] sts of neck opening. Join yarn with slip stitch in next st. Chain 1,

  1. Pull up loop in same st and next st, sc in each of next (14, 15, 16)[18, 19, 20] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  2. Sc in each of next (13, 14, 15)[17, 18, 19] sts, sc2tog. Chain 1, Turn.
  3. Sc2tog, sc in each of next (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  4. Sc in each of next (11, 12, 13)[15, 16, 17] sts, sc2tog. Chain 1, Turn.
  5. Work even over (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts. Chain 1, Turn.
  6. Work even over (12, 13, 14)[16, 17, 18] sts. Fasten off.

Sew front and back at shoulder, matching stitches.

Sleeves:
Place markers about (5, 5.5, 6)[6.5, 7, 7.5] inches down from shoulder.
Row 1: Work (41, 45, 51)[55, 59, 63] sts evenly between markers.
Work an additional (26, 30, 34)[36, 40, 44] rows, decreasing 1 stitch at beginning and end of every 3rd row.

Cuff:
Work (1 1/2)[2] inches ribbing across end of sleeve.
Make second sleeve to match.

Sew side and underarm seams.

Join yarn in side seam, work (1 1/2)[2] inches of ribbing around bottom of sweater.
Sew ends of ribbing together.

Neck ribbing:
Join yarn at left shoulder seam, work 1 inch wide ribbing (all sizes) around neck opening.
