Materials:
Worsted weight dishcloth cotton -several colors
4.50 mm (size 7) crochet hook
Change colors every round or as you see fit
to make an attractive dishcloth.
Ch 4, ssj to form a ring.
Rnd 1: (RS) Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, SSJ to top on ch-3 -12
sts.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in next dc, *(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) all in
next dc. **,
dc in next 2 dc; repeat from * around, end at **, join.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 3 dc,
*(2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) all in ch-3 sp**,
sc in next 6 dc; rep from ** to last 2 dc, end at **,
sc in last 2 dc; ssj to first sc.
Continue working round 3 until motif is about 6" across. Fasten off.
Border : Join yarn in any corner space, ch 4, hdc in same
space.
(Ch 1, skip 1 st, *hdc in next st, ch 1, skp 1, *. Repeat from * to
* to next corner.
[Hdc, ch 2, hdc] all in next corner space.) 3 times.
Last side end ch1, skp 1, ss to 2nd ch of ch-4. Fasten off.
Rep border with different colors as needed until dishcloth is
about 9 ½" square.
Work one row sc in each st and ch sp -2 sc in corners.
Join to first sc. Fasten off.
